Thanksgiving 2011

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving here in the Hartman Home. My little brother, Tim came up and we went over to my brother Aaron's newly re-modeled house for dinner. There were lots of laughter, games, movies, and good eating.

My holiday mantle

Green beans and bacon - from this recipe

My new favorite salad
pear walnut salad with feta cheese!

My secret weapon:
cream cheese stuffed crescent rolls - always a hit!

A&M's holiday table
Here's a cute Thanksgiving poem that made me chuckle today. xoxoxo
May your stuffing be tasty,
May your turkey be plump,
May your potatoes and gravy,
Have nary a lump.
May your yams be delicious,
May your pies take first prize,
And may your Thanksgiving dinner,
stay off your thighs!

Fall Projects

The latest craze around the inter-webs is this website called Pinterest. I will be the first to admit that I have become a "tad" addicted to it - and have sucked my friends and yes, even a couple students down this time sucker with me.
The neat thing about this website is that it is chock full of inspiring ideas that make life more organized, beautiful, and functional. I've already done quite a few projects based on ideas I've gleaned from all the "pins" on my "boards".
My goal of Thanksgiving break is to do even more projects, and to post them on here as I complete them. I hope that this will get me kick started into holiday gift making and decorating.

I'll keep you posted!
