Hard Rock Cafe: Seattle

Herman and I went up to Seattle this past weekend to check out the new Hard Rock Cafe that just opened up downtown. After wandering around Pike Place Market for a bit, we ended up at the legendary cafe, hungry and ready to eat.

However, there was a 45 minute wait, so we waited....

So, all in all, it was a fun weekend. We watched some Olympics, did some furniture shopping, and hiked all around downtown Seattle.... IN THE SUN! It was great

Valentine's Day 2010

Herman and I had a lovely weekend, made even more lovely by the fact that it was indeed a 3 day weekend.

We began the weekend with a heart shaped pizza, since I wasn't feeling well Friday night. Herman also brought me some lovely flowers, with the help of Dani J

Saturday was fairly low key, more lazing around, some cleaning, some grading, etc.

Sunday began our weekend in earnest. We had reservations at a hotel - and the packaged included not only a stay in a king sized suite with a jacuzzi tub and champagne, but also a 3 course dinner for 2 in a lovely restaurant, followed by breakfast the next morning

All in all, a lovely Valentine's Day weekend with the hubby.

Coastal Trip

So Herman and I were supposed to go on a Goonies Weekend this weekend with some friends, but life happened, and it got postponed to later in the month.

We still wanted to get out and about though, since our minds were set on adventure, and the coast, we decided to just jump in the car and head east.

We went to Cannon Beach first, then Seaside, and took pictures along the way...

Time for a change...

I'm not sure who reads this anymore, but for those who do... Here is a bona fide promise.

I'm going to keep this blog up. I love going back and seeing how things were months ago, and I've lost that recently... so I'm promising you... and myself, that I will update this more often.

1st semester is over, I survived! Grades are posted, and we're on to personal narratives and To Kill a Mockingbird. Then the school year will be over... and I will have taught high school English for a YEAR! Whew!

I'm still taking classes at PSU, and while it can get overwhelming at times, I'm doing well with it. I've made some friends at class, and we've been having a blast.

Speaking of friends, a friend from class and Herman and I have planned a fantastic week. OMSI after dark this week, followed by a Goonies weekend at the coast. We're so excited. It will be nice to get out and about again. We've stayed hibernated in our cave way too long.

Speaking of our cave, WE'RE MOVING!!! No longer will we be apartment dwellers, but actual home dwellers! No more cave, we're upgrading to a townhouse. It will be a slightly longer commute to work for me (Herman's still not working), but so worth it. We get to decorate, paint, and even get a HUSKY if we want :) Can you tell we're super excited?

Anyways, we're babysitting the nephew T tonight... so I should get back to them, and perhaps even make dinner. How domestic we feel... Coming home to a kiddo, making dinner, and playing games... someday.... ;)
