Well its has been a while, and I have been really neglecting this blog. Life has been fairly hum drum in our neck of the woods, and for that I am grateful.
So... Bad news first:
- Herman is in Alaska fishing for the summer. He should come home sometime in September if all goes well.
- My position was cut at NAMS this year due to budget cuts. My work spouse and I are going to have to go through a forced "divorce" as she was kept at NAMS
- I have yet to hear from PSU regarding my grad school application, even though I turned it in in March.
but... on the bright side, there's always good news.
- I hope to be visiting Herman in August, after Lindsay's wedding and before school starts back up. I am also excited to see all my Kodiak friends again. It has been too long.
- And yes, school will be starting back up for me in late August-- Even though my position got cut, they wanted to keep me, so they moved me to the high school! I'm elated to still have a job, but terrified of teaching high schoolers. Hopefully I will get 9th grade and have my 8th graders again.:)
- I also found out that I have more time than I thought before I'm required to get my masters. There's a huge load off... we really can't afford for me to go back right now anyways.
- I will also get to see my 8th graders over the summer. I'll be teaching summer school leadership-- and am really excited about that.
Well the weekend is drawing to a close-- I have 9 more days of teaching to prepare for, and Herman is calling from Alaska
