Let Mercy come, and wash away... what I've done

To all of you who I may have offended this past year, or even any time in the past, whether in word, deed, thought, knowingly or unknowingly, please forgive me, a sinner.

I know Lent is a time to put away the secular world, but ever since the first time I heard this song, I thought it had such application to Lent, and the idea of forgiveness.
